The sun shone on our annual Summer Preview Evening!May17
Held in the beautiful garden at Victoria House, the annual (and sold out!) Aubrey Allen summer preview evening was attended by 140 customers all eager to sample exciting new BBQ dishes.
There was help from The Leamington Wine Company, who offered tasters of fantastic wines as well as a bar stocked with fizz, craft beer and summer cocktails.
Local cheese company, Fromage to Age, showcased a great range of delicious seasonal cheeses.
Elsewhere on the night, new sauce suppliers Manfood tantalised the tastebuds, and Tiggs turned up the heat with their hot sauces, pickles, relishes and dressings.
Master butchers Simon Kelly and Martin Crombie entertained guests with a butchery demonstration, a small taster of the always booked up Aubrey Allen Butchery School.
Dishes available included a mini Dragon Slayer burger, created originally for St Georges Day and made with Scotch bonnet chilli – not for the faint-hearted but a huge hit with the customers.
Warwickshire food lovers also enjoyed sticky pulled beef brisket, chicken skewers and tender lamb cutlets marinated in mint and rosemary.
Sweet canapes of lemon tart and chocolate brownie rounded things off nicely.
The event, which has grown in popularity every year, gives customers the chance to try products and dishes they may not have considered for their BBQ whilst still championing the classics of burgers, sausages and kebabs.
Speaking of the event, staff at Aubrey Allen said: "It kicks the summer off in style and with weather so perfect, we really are excited for the season ahead."
