Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…
The Christmas turkey ordered weeks in advance from Aubrey Allen was now happily sitting in the fridge, next to the chef-prepared vegetables and the cheeseboard that Dad had to swear he wouldn’t nibble at!
The gift wrap on Grandma’s food hamper was sparkling under the tree, ready to hand over along with her annual sherry and the children were upstairs wrapping the last-minute gift card for mum bought with their pocket money.
For 90 years Aubrey Allen has been a part of Christmas festivities for families all across Warwickshire (and beyond!).
